Changing a Log’s Rules
This is an advanced feature intended for two specific situations.
You open an old log and SkookumLogger reports that it does not recognize the log’s contest name. In order to proceed, SkookumLogger sets the contest name to General Logging to preserve all of the other information in the log file. To assign new rules to the old log file, use File > Change Log’s Contest Rules to show a window for to choosing a replacement contest name with rules compatible with the old log.
You operate in two or more QSO parties with overlapping time periods, using one log. Of course, you log what you hear, even though you know some of the QSOs won’t count for some of the events. After the contests are over, use can use File > Change Log’s Contest Rules to see the Score breakdown for each contest. For example, I use NEQP Inside during the weekend when DEQP, INQP and 7QP are also active. To score the log for the other three contests, I change rules to DEQP Outside, INQP Outside, and 7QP Outside respectively. You can do this in any order and any number of times. Submit the same log to the contest sponsors; they will ignore QSOs that do not apply for their contest.
Results are undefined if you choose an incompatible rules set.
