Keyer Speed
The current keyer sending speed for the QSO entry with transmit focus is displayed at the right edge of the entry box. Changing transmit focus changes speed.
You can change the speed with the keyer speed pot, with the Step Speed Up and Step Speed Down commands in the Messages ▶ Morse ▶ submenu, and with the Morse Speed Editor . The speed step size is defined in the Morse Speed Editor.
The Messages ▶ Morse ▶ Set Pounce WPM command is hidden in 2T2R and disabled unless Pounce has transmit focus. The command searches the activity table for the current band for a match to the call in the Pounce call entry field. If a match is found and the activity specifies WPM in the Info column, your WinKeyer is silently set to that speed. The temporary override of Pounce WPM changes the color of displayed WPM The original speed is when you change transmit focus.
The SO2R Box keyer SPEED pot behavior is different from a real WinKeyer. The Pot Minimum and Pot Range preferences are ignored, instead the minimum is 15 WPM and the maximum is 45 WPM.
The SO2R Mini does not have a speed pot. For either emulation, you can set speed to any value between 5 and 99 WPM using the Morse Speed Editor window or the Step Speed commands in the Messages ▶ Morse ▶ menu.
