Port Choosers
A Port chooser shows a list of the RS232 serial ports connected to your computer. The names in the list are either port names, or device names that you have defined as aliases for port names.
Ports in the list that are in use (enabled) are grayed out so that you cannot try to use them for another device.
When an enabled port becomes inaccessible in macOS, usually because either the cable was disconnected or the device was turned off, the lost port disappears from all port chooser lists.
SkookumLogger remembers the port chooser selection and the Enable state. When starting up, SkookumLogger re-enables ports that were enabled when quitting.
