Antenna Switching

The antenna switch configuration is defined by a file that is read when SkookumLogger starts up. If that file defines a reachable serial port name, the MOAS device is configured and made active without user interaction. Otherwise, a default antenna configuration is established and used only for displaying antenna information (names and patterns) in the  Map  windows.

The  Radio 1  and  Radio 2  menus have submenus for choosing transmit and receive antennas. These submenus list the antennas available for the current radio band, and remember selections per-band. The associated  Select Best Transmit Antenna  and  Select Best Receive Antenna  items select the antenna with main lobe closest to the target bearing.
