SteppIr
SkookumLogger can interface with the “Data In/Radio” serial port on an SDA 100 controller in order to automatically adjust the antenna to the transmit frequency of Radio 1. To enable this feature:
Connect your computer to the Data In / Radio port through a USB-serial adapter and a crossover RS-232 cable with only RXD, TXD, and GND pins wired.
Set up the SDA 100 Transceiver with Din = 38400 and Mode = 9000D.
Enable the SDA 100 Autotrack mode.
Select the SDA 100 serial port in the SteppIr Port chooser and check the Enable SteppIr box in the Antennas window.
When Radio 1 changes transmit frequency and the new frequency differs from the previous frequency by more than 9 kHz, SkookumLogger sends the new frequency to the SDA 100. The 9 kHz hysteresis prevents unnecessary antenna adjustments if you happen to change transmit frequency often across an SDA 100 tuning segment boundary.
