Intermittent hangs

If the spinning beachball cursor appears intermittently, try these steps to isolate the cause:

Disconnect all serial devices.
If the hangs stop happening, reconnect devices one at a time until you know which is causing the problem.
Confirm that you have selected the correct port for the problem device.
Confirm that the device serial comm parameters, especially the speed, are set to the values that SkookumLogger expects for the type of device you have selected.
