DX Cluster

You can log into a DX Cluster node to receive and transmit DX announcements. The login is configured in  DX Cluster preferences . The Log window has a small globe image button to the left of the UTC time that is dimmed when you are logged out, and bright when you are logged in. You can click on that button to toggle the login state.

Normally, interaction with DX announcements is handled indirectly. You can send DX announcements to the DX Cluster using  Activity  ►  Announce Activity . 

Advanced users can interact directly with a node using  Window  ▶  DX Cluster  to open a simple terminal window.

The DX Cluster window upper text box shows messages received from your DX Cluster connection. SkookumLogger processes DX announcements for you, so the DX Cluster window normally hides those messages. Choose  Include Spots  to see them.

To send a message to the node, click in the lower pane, type a command, then press return. You can resend a previous line by setting the insertion point anywhere in that line and pressing return.
