Keyboard Mode

Keyboard mode is available when the mode of the radio with transmit focus is CW, FSK, or PSK. Choose Messages ▶ Morse ▶ Keyboard Mode to enter the mode. In the CW case, a keyboard icon appear to the right of the UTC display in the Log window, and you choose the command again to exit the mode. In the FSK or PSK case, keyboard focus is transferred to the text entry field at the bottom of the Decoded Text window .

In keyboard mode for CW, everything you type into a QSO entry field is diverted directly to your keyer and transmitted immediately.

In data mode, nothing is transmitted as you type into the text field until you type return. Then, the entire content of the field is transmitted and keyboard focus is transferred back to the Log window.
