CW Messages

SkookumLogger requires a WinKeyer or WinKeyer emulation to send CW messages. Use  Window  ▶  External Devices  ▶  Morse Keyers  to set up your keyer.

Each SkookumLogger log has a set of 16 basic CW messages and 6 Magic Message messages. When you create a new log, the messages are copied from the definitions in the  CW Messages  tab of your New Log preferences pane. Choose  Window  ▶  Editors  ▶  Show Morse Messages Editor  to open a window for customizing messages in an existing log. Changes that you make in the editor are saved in the log document and do not affect preference values.

In CW mode, the relevant  Messages  menu items are disabled unless Practice Mode is enabled or one of the supported Morse Keyers (WinKeyer, YCCC SO2R Box , YCCC SO2R Mini) is available. The SO2R Box is available if it is turned on; the other two are available when their serial port connections are enabled.
