Amici is an audio Spectrum Analyzer/Tracking Generator application for macOS.

Invented by Giovanni Amici (a'mee-chee), the Amici prism is a compound prism that is used in direct-vision spectrometers. The Amici program's application icon shows a double Amici prism.

Amici requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) or newer and a silicon mac to run on. The application can be downloaded from here. Contact K1GQ if you want the Xcode project.

Amici is not a supported product.

Both the Amici application and the Xcode project are completely free. Amici does not make use of any GPL sources and you can add functionality that you need to the program, or take portions from of the code to use in other programs, without any restrictions and without requirement to publicly publish any of the changes that you have made.

Amici is notarized but not sandboxed. Preferences are in ~Library/Preferences/net.k1gq.Amici.plist. Other than the plistfile and the screenshots and reference plots that are generated upon request, Amici does not create any other files.
